Frequently Asked Questions
We know you have a lot of question, and we want to give you all the answers.
Since Brushes n Bubbly is a mobile paint & sip, do we need to supply a venue?
Since Brushes n Bubbly is a mobile paint & sip, do we need to supply a venue?
You bring the venue, we bring the experience. We're fully mobile—we've hosted events at sporting clubs, local halls, and public venues all over Perth. No studio rental, no venue limitation. You pick the space that works for your group, we handle setup, run the event, and pack out. That's it
How is it possible that we raise funds with a paint and sip?
How is it possible that we raise funds with a paint and sip?
The ticket price is what fundraises. You set the price (we recommend $59 per person for a $20 margin), but you can charge more if you have a fundraising goal in mind. The canvas is pre-outlined and small, 30×30 cm, so it's about the experience and the social time, not gallery-quality painting. That's what makes it work—people pay for the event, not the art. You keep the margin.
Is there a minimum number of guests needed?
Is there a minimum number of guests needed?
We recommend 30 guests minimum for the fundraiser to make sense. Here's why: at 30 people × $59 = $1,770 revenue. Below 30, the economics get tight depending on your ticket price. If you're under 30, the per-person margin shrinks and the event stops being worth the organizational lift for your club. We price at $43 per person for smaller groups to cover our cost; anything below that and we're not sustainable. So book us at 30+, get the $39 rate, and the math works for everyone.
I could just do this on my own with a kit from insert major chain couldn't I?
I could just do this on my own with a kit from insert major chain couldn't I?
You could. But you'd source canvases, easels, paints, coordinate setup, manage clean-up, and handle no-shows. We've already done that work. You get a proven experience, branded materials, backup if someone's sick, and one invoice. Plus we handle the stress—you just show up and enjoy with your guests. That's worth the margin difference.
How do we sell tickets?
How do we sell tickets?
Two ways.
We sell them from our website. You share the link we give you with your people via socials or marketing material. After the fundraiser, we'll refund you the profits.
You collect the money and guest list and we invoice you after the fundraiser. You keep the profits.
Some of us don't drink alcohol. Can we still do a Paint and Sip?
Some of us don't drink alcohol. Can we still do a Paint and Sip?
Absolutely. The "sip" part is optional. We bring the paint experience and the social time; what people drink is up to them. Some guests bring their own non-alcoholic options, some stick with water or soft drinks, some do alcohol. Doesn't matter. The event works because you're creating, relaxing, and hanging out together—not because everyone's got a wine glass. Your group sets the vibe.
Is alcohol included in the cost of the ticket?
Is alcohol included in the cost of the ticket?
No. The ticket price covers the paint-and-sip experience—canvas, paints, instruction, the whole thing. Alcohol isn't included. If your group wants to bring their own drinks, that's fine. If you want to supply a welcome drink on arrival, you can budget that from your profit margin. Some clubs do a complimentary beer or wine when people walk in, some skip it. It's your call based on what you want your event to feel like and what your margin allows.
How many artworks can we choose? (1 - 3)
How many artworks can we choose? (1 - 3)
You pick 1 to 3 pre-designed canvases from the catalogue for your event. Your guests choose which design they want to paint, so you're giving variety without the complexity of running three separate workshops. Everyone gets the experience they signed up for, your organisers aren't juggling multiple setups, and the group stays cohesive.
Can kids attend?
Can kids attend?
Yes, kids can attend. If the event is marketed to families or youth groups, kids are part of the experience. If it's positioned as an adult social event, kids can come as long as a parent or guardian is present and supervising. We keep the atmosphere relaxed so it works either way.
