So, you've signed up for your first paint and sip? That's frikkin awesome! At Brushes n Bubbly, we believe that it's never too late to unleash the beastly artist within and have some fun with paint. But if you're feeling a bit shy or unsure about the experience, don't worry. We've got some tips to help you make the most of your first paint and sip.
Bring a buddy
Everything is more fun with a mate, right? Bring someone who is also excited about painting and engaging in a bubbly or three. Plus, having a friend by your side can make you feel more comfortable and less self-conscious.
Don't be afraid to ask questions
Feeling lost or unsure about something? Don't be afraid to ask questions! We are there to help you every step of the way. Whether you're not sure about a colour or need help with a technique, just ask. We're here to support you so you can have fun!
Embrace your creativity
One of the best things - is that there are NO RULES. Don't stress about making your painting look like everyone else's. Use your unique perspective and creativity to make your artwork one-of-a-kind. Who knows - you may surprise yourself with what you come up with. We know we have!
Sip, paint, repeat
We call it Brushes n Bubbly for a reason. While painting, make sure to sip on some delicious drinks and enjoy yourself. It's a social event, after all! And no, of course you don't have to drink alcohol to attend a BnB event ;)
Learn from others
Take inspiration from those around you and don't be afraid to share your own experiences. This is why during the class we always encourage you to get up and have a look around the room. You'll be amazed at the differences and similarities in the paintings and can sometimes hurry back to your own with enthusiasm to tweak this n that. This is where you stop listening to us, and start exploring your own creativity. It's awesome to see.
Make a mistake? Embrace it!
We all make mistakes, and that includes when we paint. But remember, we're using acrylic paint and paint can always be covered up. Use your mistake as an opportunity to try something new or get creative with your painting. Who knows - it could lead to a masterpiece! Remember to holla at us if you get stuck!
